The German Aerospace Centre (DLR) is building a new institute building at the Stuttgart site, which will also be used for university purposes. The planned new building will primarily provide space for the institutes of Technical Thermodynamics and Technical Physics. The aim is to create a harmoniously integrated building structure with a focus on functionality. The compact, six-storey building will accommodate the institutes floor by floor and allow them to
operate independently. It will also provide space for offices, workshops, laboratories and clean rooms.
The technical heating and cooling systems for this project had to meet essential requirements. For example, increased standards for temperature constancy, air humidity and air cleanliness apply to individual rooms. These had to be integrated into the design of the heating and cooling systems by our qualified specialist planners. The contract was worth 1,243,000 euros.
